We are a group for Drupal enthusiasts who enjoy getting together the first Thursday of each month at 6pm to talk about Drupal, plan Drupal events, and have some fun. During TBDUG meetings we showcase modules, projects, and themes. Share your tips and tricks, and get your questions about Drupal answered!

We meet at the Panera Bread on 2285 Ulmerton Road, Clearwater, FL 33762 - (727) 592-9690

Meetings are free if we buy food. Tell the cashier you are with the Drupal group. Please join us!!

Notes from Security Talk

I enjoyed talking about security in December.  Here are some of my notes. I also registered for Flroida Druapl Camp, March 8 and hope to see you all there.

  1. Acquia Network security dashboard

  2. Security review module

  3. Automated tools

  4. Focus on the most critical items first

  5. File permissions – check with each rollout. You can use stat to see octal. It's kind of confusing at first, but worth the time to know it inside out.

Drupal Training - Intro to Drupal

Our local group is participating in the Drupal Global Training Days this month. There will be a full day of training offered. The training will take place in two parts:

9:00 AM - 12:00 PM -- Hello Drupal! The Morning session we be offering "Hello Drupal". This course provides a high-level introduction of what Drupal is, the community and its core features and paradigms. This course is ideal for anyone considering switching to Drupal and wants to get a better idea of what it is and how it works.

August 2013 Meetup

The August Tampa Bay Drupal Meetup will take place this coming Thursday, 08/01 from 6:00-7:30pm.

This month Scott will be talking with us about practical tips/tricks/modules that can help out on your Drupal projects. Possible discussion points: views bulk operations (vbo), rules, git, multisite, devops, and/or features.

Additionally, being the first meetup that I'll have attended since I went to DrupalCon Portland, I'll try my best to give a recap of some interesting things I saw/learned there if no one has touched on that yet.
